Terms and Conditions

When engaging with XpertEditing for editorial services, clients are agreeing to terms and conditions that outline both our responsibilities as a service provider and the expectations we have of our clients. Below is the standard wording of these terms and conditions. XpertEditing will also adhere to any specific requirements or conditions set forth by clients, including contractor agreements and non-disclosure agreements.

Payment Terms

  • For corporate and government clients, our standard payment terms are within 14 days of invoice issuance.
  • Individual clients are required to make a 50% deposit before commencement of any project, with the balance due upon project completion.
  • All payments are to be made via electronic funds transfer (By EFT).

Standard Terms and Conditions

By accepting our proposal and estimate in writing via email, you (“the Client”) agree to the following terms regarding the service (“the Service”) provided by XpertEditing:

  1. The Service
    • XpertEditing commits to delivering editorial services as outlined in the proposal, adhering to the terms specified and for the agreed fee.
    • Should the final draft of the document (“the Work”) not be reviewed prior to the estimate, or if changes to the Work occur, we reserve the right to adjust both the fee and delivery timeline.
    • XpertEditing will inform the Client of any significant changes affecting the estimate or delivery schedule.
    • The Service typically includes one round of editing or proofreading, unless stated otherwise. Additional services will require a new estimate.
    • The Client is responsible for providing all necessary information for the satisfactory completion of the Service. Delays in information provision may affect the delivery date.
    • Upon completion and delivery of the Work, the Client has two business days (48 hours) to request further revisions by email. Without such communication, the Service is considered complete. Subsequent revisions will incur additional charges.
    • Any changes to the project scope may result in additional charges.
    • Estimates provided are valid for five business days from issue.
    • Any public acknowledgment of XpertEditing’s services in published work must be approved by XpertEditing.
  2. Indemnity
    • XpertEditing is not responsible for the content or factual accuracy of the Work either before or after the provision of the Service.
    • The Client is responsible for reviewing the completed Work to ensure its accuracy.
    • Suggestions made by XpertEditing are based on our professional judgment, and the Client decides on their implementation.
    • Full responsibility for the content, presentation, quality, and final submission of the Work rests with the Client.
  3. Confidentiality
    • XpertEditing will maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of the Work.

These terms are subject to modification only through written agreement between the Client and XpertEditing.
